MEET THE SPEAKERS
Adelaide M. La Rosa, RN, BSN, CCDS, is the director of the Clinical Documentation Improvement Program at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, NY, and is the initiator, developer of their CDI program. She has 27 years of varied clinical healthcare and leadership experience and extensive knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle, ICD-9-CM coding rules and regulations, MS/APR DRG methodology, DRG validation, RAC and third party insurance denials management. She is an AHIMA ICD-10 certified trainer and ambassador as well as a recipient of CDI Professional of the Year Award and speaker at the 2011 Fourth Annual ACDIS conference.
Deborah Beezley, RHIT, is the director of health information management inclusive of privacy and emergency management at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis. She has 20 years experience as a consultant in regulatory preparations, health care quality, and HIM. Additionally she is chair of the Missouri State HIM Task Force for ICD-10.
